Vanklass | Odessos Systems Inc — A Delaware C-Corporation Effective Date: July 1, 2026
1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all purchases made through Vanklass, operated by Odessos Systems Inc ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). It explains how billing periods and class credits work, your rights to cancel and withdraw, and how refunds are calculated for both your subscription and your individual live classes.
2. How Your Plan Works — Total Classes
Every Vanklass plan includes a fixed number of live classes for your billing period, shown as Total Classes. Total Classes is the sum of all classes across your entire billing period — your classes-per-week multiplied by the length of the period.
| Classes / week | Monthly | Quarterly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1×/week | 4 classes | 13 classes | 52 classes |
| 3×/week | 12 classes | 39 classes | 156 classes |
| 5×/week | 20 classes | 65 classes | 260 classes |
Each plan also has a per-lesson rate (Total Billed ÷ Total Classes). This per-lesson rate is what we use to value classes already taken when calculating any prorated refund (see Section 8).
3. EU / EEA 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of the contract date, without giving any reason.
3.1 Waiver at checkout (to start classes immediately)
Because Vanklass is a service that begins as soon as you book and attend classes, you can choose to start during the 14-day period. At checkout you may confirm:
"I request that Vanklass begin providing classes immediately, before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period. I understand that I lose my right of withdrawal once all classes in my billing period have been delivered, and that if I withdraw during the 14-day period I will be charged for the classes I have already taken."
3.2 What you get back
- If you have taken no classes and withdraw within 14 days → full refund.
- If you ticked the waiver and have taken classes, and withdraw within 14 days → refund of the Total Billed minus the value of classes already taken (classes taken × the plan's per-lesson rate). See Section 8.
- If you did not waive your withdrawal right, classes do not begin until the 14-day period ends, and you may withdraw at any point before then for a full refund.
After the 14-day window closes, the standard subscription and class-credit terms below apply.
4. Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting [email protected].
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to your remaining classes until then.
- We do not issue partial refunds for time remaining in a billing period, except as described in Sections 3, 5, and 6.
- Cancelling stops all future renewals; you will not be charged again.
5. Refund Eligibility
5.1 Monthly plans
Request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase or a renewal charge for a full refund of that charge, less the value of any classes already taken (see Section 8). After 7 days, the charge is non-refundable, but you may cancel to stop future charges.
5.2 Quarterly & Yearly plans
Request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or a renewal charge for a full refund of that charge, less the value of any classes already taken. After 14 days, the charge is non-refundable, but you may cancel to stop future renewals.
5.3 First-class guarantee
If you are not satisfied after your very first live class, contact us within 48 hours of that class for a full refund of your first charge.
6. How Classes Are Delivered: Live Requests & Bookings
Vanklass offers two ways to take a class:
- Live class request (on-demand). You choose a specific teacher and request a class to start right away. A class is deducted only if that teacher accepts the call. If the teacher declines or doesn't answer, nothing is deducted.
- Scheduled booking. You reserve a future class with a teacher at least 4 hours in advance.
Confirmation & coverage (scheduled bookings). A booked class is never lost because your teacher becomes unavailable:
- The teacher you booked confirms or declines within 2 hours — and at least 2 hours before the class starts (whichever comes first).
- If they decline or don't respond in time, we automatically offer the class to other available qualified teachers so it can still go ahead.
- The class is re-credited to you in full only if no teacher can cover it by the confirmation cutoff.
Short-notice bookings are non-refundable. Because free cancellation requires ≥ 12 hours' notice (below), any class booked within 12 hours of its start time is committed once a teacher confirms — it cannot be cancelled for a credit or refund.
| Scenario | What happens |
|---|---|
| You reschedule or cancel with ≥ 12 hours' notice | Free — the class is returned to your account as a rollover credit (Section 7) |
| You cancel with < 12 hours' notice | The class is forfeited and counts as used. No credit or refund. |
| You no-show | The class is forfeited and counts as used. No credit or refund. |
| Your booked teacher declines, cancels, or no-shows | The class is offered to another teacher; if none can cover it, it is re-credited in full |
| A class can't be delivered due to a Vanklass or connection failure on our side | The class is re-credited or refunded at your choice |
For refund purposes, "classes taken" includes classes you attended plus any classes forfeited through a late cancellation or no-show.
7. Rollover of Unused Classes
Classes you cancel on time (≥ 12 hours' notice) become rollover credits:
- Rollover credits stay valid while your subscription remains active and in good standing.
- Total accumulated rollover credits are capped at one billing period's worth of classes for your plan.
- If you cancel, any remaining classes — including rollover credits — stay usable until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then expire.
- Rollover credits have no cash value and are not refundable on their own.
8. How Refunds Are Calculated
Where a partial refund applies:
Refund = Total Billed − (Classes taken × Plan's per-lesson rate)
Worked example. A learner on Private — 3×/week — Quarterly (Total Billed $266, 39 Total Classes, $6.82 per lesson) withdraws within 14 days after taking 5 classes:
- Value of classes taken = 5 × $6.82 = $34.10
- Refund = $266 − $34.10 = $231.90
No-shows and late cancellations count as classes taken and are not refunded.
9. How to Request a Refund
